49例更年期综合征患者的辨证施护  Abstract Through investigating the syndrome of 49 patients who are suffering from menopausal syndrome, this paper tries to present an analysis of TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment of menopausal syndrome. The results showed that liver-kidney yin deficiency, liver yang hyperactivity, spleen deficiency and blood stagnation syndrome were the primary syndromes among menopausal patients. The treatment principles of TCM are centered on nourishing the liver and kidneys, invigorating spleen and regulating qi and blood. Acupuncture, moxibustion, Chinese herbal medicine and dietary therapy are the common treatment methods used by TCM practitioners in treating menopausal syndrome.  Introduction Menopausal syndrome is a common disease among middle-aged women. During menopause, womens physiological and psychological changes can cause symptoms such as flushing, sweating, insomnia, headache and other discomforts. The menopausal syndrome is mainly caused by the imbalance of hormones in the body and is a result of changes in the endocrine system. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) believes that menopausal syndrome is related to the acceleration of aging, as well as the imbalance of the internal organs and the bodys Qi and blood. TCM therapy has proven to be effective in reducing symptoms and improving the quality of life of patients with menopausal syndrome. The aim of this paper is to study the TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment of menopausal syndrome through analyzing the symptoms and treatment of 49 patients who were diagnosed with menopausal syndrome. Methodology 49 patients were selected for the study, and their medical history, symptoms, and the determination of TCM syndrome differentiation were reviewed. The age of the participants ranged from 42 to 62 years old, with the average age being 50 years old. The duration of disease onset varied from 6 months to 3 years.
