Thanks to the convenience of water transportation, it has driven the change of costume fashion along the line. The reproduction and dissemination of costume culture along the Grand Canal is the demand of the region and the times. This paper adopts interdisciplinary research methods, comprehensively uses International Museum Science, Design, Archaeology, Folklore, History, Communication and other multi-disciplinary knowledge, and conducts field research in the clothing cultural areas along the Grand Canal in Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou, Yangzhou and other places. The purpose is to reproduce the linear cultural heritage of the Grand Canal and the clothing cultural genes along the canal through the museum media, and explore the path of its digital communication.
