So it’s time and also necessary to learn other country’s histories and cultures, among which is the UK because we are learning its language---English. Not only can it is necessary for us to learn the language better, but it can help broaden the international horizons of students. The reading and thinking part is about the UK. Students can learn its history of development and formation according to the time order. Specifically, firstly, the section answers the confusing question why the UK has so many names with the process of formation of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and their brotherly but independent relationship. Then, use brief words to explain the different invaders had different influences at different period of history, such as the government, town, road, language and food. Next, it introduces the caption London and its long history. At last, emphasize the importance and significance to learn its history and culture before learn the country.
