Soft news is a type of news that not only reports events, but also focuses on peoples emotions and feelings. In the process of Chinese-English translation of soft news, aesthetic view plays an important role. Aesthetic view emphasizes the beauty and harmony of language, which can effectively retain the artistic integrity and emotional expression of the original text. This report describes the progress made in the middle stage of Chinese-English translation of soft news from the perspective of aesthetic view. Achievements 1. Selection of Soft News: A total of 50 soft news from Chinese media have been selected for translation, among which 25 are political and economical affairs, 15 are social and cultural affairs, and the other 10 are technology and innovation affairs. The selection of soft news reflects the diversity of Chinese society and its national characteristics. 2. Translation Process: The translation process is divided into three stages: translation, proofreading, and editing. In the translation stage, the translator will use aesthetic techniques to maintain the original texts artistic features and emotional resonance. In the proofreading stage, the proofreader will compare the translated text with the original text to ensure accuracy and fluency. In the editing stage, the editor will check the final text for overall coherence and readability. 3. Translation Techniques: Several translation techniques have been applied in the process, including paraphrasing, use of context, cultural adaptation, and figurative language translation. These techniques have been used to ensure that the translated text is not only readable, but also conveys the original texts emotional subtext and cultural connotations. 4.
