Analysis of Teaching Material Status and Function This lesson is the second period of Unit8 Section A. It focuses on the topic of describing a process. It’s an oral and grammar lesson. The topic is close to daily life, so it is helpful to raise learning interests of students and it will be also helpful to improve students’ communicative and speaking abilities.
Teaching Aims1.Knowledge aims a. Enable the students to master the following new words : add, finally, salt, sugar, cheese, corn, machine. b. The students can master the process of making Russian soup.c.The students can know how to use “how many ” and “how much”.2.Ability aims a. To develop the students’ abilities of speaking and writing.b. To develop the students’ ability of communication.3.Moral ability: By finishing the tasks, the students learn to share and cooperate with others.
Teaching important and difficult points Enable the students to master the process of making Russian soup.The students can know how to use “how many ” and “how much”.
Teaching methods and learning methods1.Teaching methods As a teacher, we should help students develop good sense of the English language. So I will use Communicative Approach, Task--based Language Teaching to achieve these teaching aims. 2. Learning methods a. Pair work b. Group work
