高等农业院校本科生英语学习兴趣研究——以华中农业大学为例的中期报告
Introduction
The purpose of this research is to explore the English learning interests of undergraduate students in higher agricultural institutions, using Huazhong Agricultural University as an example. English is an important language for academic communication, and it is also necessary for international exchanges in the field of agriculture. However, there may be certain factors that affect English learning interests among students in these institutions. Therefore, this study aims to identify these factors and how they may affect the learning habits and attitudes of the students towards English.
Literature Review
In recent years, research on English learning interests has gradually become a hot topic in the field of foreign language education. According to a study by Peng (2015), there are several factors that affect the English learning interests of college students, including the environment, teacher quality, student attitudes, and curriculum design. The environment refers to the surroundings in which the students learn, such as the teaching facilities and resources. Teacher quality is an important factor in the effectiveness of English teaching. Student attitudes refer to the attitudes and motivations of students towards their English learning, while curriculum design refers to the overall design and content of the English courses.
Furthermore, a study by Liang and Chen (2017) found that the learning interests of Chinese college students are influenced by their personality traits, learning styles, and learning habits. Personality traits refer to the characteristics and tendencies of the students, while learning styles refer to their different ways of processing information. Learning habits refer to the patterns of behavior and attitudes towards studying that students develop over time.
Methodology
