翻译生态学视角下的中译英教学的中期报告 Mid-term Report on Chinese-to-English Translation Teaching from the Perspective of Translation Ecology I. Introduction Translation ecology is a new theoretical perspective that has emerged in the field of translation studies. It emphasizes the interaction and interdependence between translators, texts and contexts, and promotes the integration of translation theory and practice. In recent years, with the rapid development of Chinas economy and culture, Chinese-to-English translation has become increasingly important. However, the quality of Chinese-to-English translation still needs to be improved. This study aims to explore the teaching of Chinese-to-English translation from the perspective of translation ecology, in order to improve the quality of translation and promote the development of translation education. II. Literature Review Translation ecology is a multidisciplinary field that draws on theories and methods from translation studies, linguistics, cognitive psychology, and sociology. It emphasizes the importance of the translators role in the translation process, as well as the influence of cultural and social factors on translation. In recent years, scholars have proposed various teaching models based on translation ecology, such as the task-based approach, the problem-based approach, and the collaborative translation approach. These models have been shown to be effective in improving translation quality, enhancing students linguistic and cultural awareness, and promoting their collaborative and communicative abilities. III. Research Methodology This study adopts a case study method, with a focus on the teaching of Chinese-to-English translation in an undergraduate translation course. The course is designed based on the principles of translation ecology, taking into account the complexity and diversity of translation contexts, as well as the students translation proficiency and cultural background.
