Introduction:

ChronichepatitisB(CHB)infectionisamajorglobalhealthproblem.Itcanleadtolivercirrhosisandhepatocellularcarcinoma.HepaticsteatosisisoftenobservedinpatientswithCHB,whichistheaccumulationoffatwithinthelivercells.Hepaticsteatosisisnotonlyassociatedwithprogressionofliverdiseasebutalsowithincreasedriskforcardiovasculardiseases.Inthisstudy,weaimtoexplorethefactorsassociatedwithhepaticsteatosisinCHBpatients.

Objectives:

Themainobjectivesofthisstudyare:

1.TodeterminetheprevalenceofhepaticsteatosisinCHBpatients

2.ToidentifytheriskfactorsassociatedwithhepaticsteatosisinCHBpatients

3.ToevaluatetheimpactofhepaticsteatosisonliverfunctionanddiseaseprogressioninCHBpatients

Methods:

Thisstudywillbearetrospectivecohortstudy.PatientsdiagnosedwithCHBandwhounderwentliverbiopsybetweenJanuary2010andDecember2019atasinglecenterwillbeincludedinthisstudy.Patientsco-infectedwithhepatitisCvirus,hepatitisDvirus,orhumanimmunodeficiencyvirus,orwithahistoryofalcoholabuseornonalcoholicfattyliverdiseasewillbeexcluded.Thepresenceofhepaticsteatosiswillbeassessedbyhistologicalexaminationofliverbiopsyspecimens.Thedegreeofhepaticfibrosiswillalsobeassessed.Demographicdata,medicalhistory,laboratoryresults,andotherrelevantdatawillbecollectedfrommedicalrecords.

Results:

TheprevalenceofhepaticsteatosisinCHBpatientsanditsassociationwithvariousriskfactorswillbedetermined.TheimpactofhepaticsteatosisonliverfunctionanddiseaseprogressioninCHBpatientswillalsobeanalyzed.

Conclusion:

ThisstudywillprovideinsightintothefactorsassociatedwithhepaticsteatosisinCHBpatients.Theresultsmayhelpinthedevelopmentofstrategiestopreventorma
