Pyramidsellinghasbeenacriminaloffenseinmanycountriesandregions,includingChina,sincethe1990s.Pyramidselling,alsoknownasmulti-levelmarketing(MLM),referstoamarketingstrategywheredistributorsrecruitotherstojointhecompanyandearncommissionsbasedonthesalesoftherecruitedmembers.However,thepyramidsellingmodelhasbeencriticizedforbeingafraudulentschemethatreliesonendlessrecruitmentandultimatelycollapses,leavingmanypeoplewithfinanciallosses.Inrecentyears,manycountrieshavesteppedupeffortstocrackdownonpyramidsellingcrimes.Therefore,itisnecessarytostudypyramidsellingcrimestofindwaystopreventandcombatsuchillegalactivities.

Objectives:

Theobjectivesofthisresearchareasfollows:

1.Toinvestigatethecharacteristicsandpatternsofpyramidsellingcrimes.

2.Toanalyzethepsychologicalandsocialfactorsthatcontributetothedevelopmentofpyramidsellingcrimes.

3.Toexplorethemeasurestakenbydifferentcountriestopreventandcombatpyramidsellingcrimes.

4.ToproposeeffectivestrategiesandpoliciestopreventandcombatpyramidsellingcrimesinChina.

Methodology:

Theresearchwilladoptamixed-methodapproach,includingbothqualitativeandquantitativemethods.Thedatawillbecollectedthroughinterviewswithvictimsandoffendersofpyramidsellingcrimes,casestudies,andanalysisofrelevantlawsandregulations.Theresearchwillalsousesurveyquestionnairestocollectdataonthepublic’sawarenessofpyramidselling,theirattitudesandbeliefstowardspyramidselling,andtheirexperienceswithpyramidselling.
