【摘要】当前我国矿山灾害事故频繁发生的根本原因，不在于安全生产行政管理部门监管不到位、矿山安全生产管理不力，也不在于矿山安全工程技术薄弱，而在于矿山安全基础理论研究以及矿山监测方面新技术的滞后；分析矿山安全事故问责制度和当前矿山监测及故障检测技术，提出改进建议。
