INTRODUCTION

LWRpowerplantsafetyanalysisreportandsubsequentneutronexposureparametercalculationsfor

thePVwallandcriticalweldsneedtobeverifiedusingmoderncodesandinformationfrom

surveillancedosimetry.Thatis,thelocationofcriticalweldsrelativetotheaxialandazimuthalflux

mapshouldbetakenintoaccount,aswellaschangesinfuelloadingduringperiodswhensurveillance

capsulesareexposed.

ThispracticeisintendedtobeusedtogetherwithotherE706LWRMatrixStandardstoprovide

estimatesoftheneutronexposureandexposurerate(togetherwithuncertainties)atpositionsatthe

innerdiameterandwithinthepressurevesselwallofalightwaterreactor.Alsoprovidedwillbe

estimatesofgamma-rayexposureandexposureratestointerpretdosimetrysensorphoto-reactionand

othergamma-rayinducedeffects.Informationusedtomaketheseestimatesisobtainedfrom

neutron-gammatransportcalculationsandfromneutronandothersensormonitors
