Abstract.VirtualReality(VR)couldbeusedtodevelopmorerepresentativeDig-

italHumanModeling(DHM)simulationsofworktasksforfutureOperators4.0.

AlthoughVRallowsuserstoexperiencethemanikinasratherrealisticinitself,

therearestillseveralaspectsthatneedtobeconsideredwhenshiftingfromtasks

performedintherealworldintoavirtualone,addingcognitiveanduserexperience

(UX)aspects.Currently,thereislimitedresearchofUXinVR.Theoverallaim

wastogaindeeperinsightsintohowusers’experiencescanultimatelyhelpusto

improvehowVRcanaidinDHM.Apilotstudyexaminedhowusersperceivedand

experiencedactionsperformedbyahumanoidhand(manikin)inVR.Users’per-

ceivedpresenceindicateshowwelltheyareimmersedinthevirtualenvironment,

andProactiveeyegaze(PEG)wasusedtomeasuretherealismofthevirtualhand
