propertiesofrapidconstructionmaterialsforsoilpavementoffield
airfield.Asisshowninthepicture,themainpartsofmyresearch
areaboutsoilpavement.
Mypresentationwillincludethesefourparts:
First,somebackgroundinformationaboutthisresearch;
second,themainworkwehavedone;third,someconclusionswe
havegotandthelast:innovationandpresentationofourpublished
papers.
WhyIchoosethisitemIthinkitcanbeillustratedfromthe
followingfourparts.First,theexistingquantityofairfieldsisstillnot
sufficientandtheairfieldshavemanyshortcomingsespeciallyin
wartime.Second,thecomplementaryfacilities,suchashighway
runwaysarefarlessthanairfields,however,havemoreweakness.
Third,acertainamountoffieldairfieldisquitenecessary
consideringsomeemergenciessuchasrescueanddisasterrelief.
Forth,thefieldairfieldcanfillthevoidofairfieldandtheycanbe
combinedtobeairfieldnetwork.
Themeaningandaimofthisresearchcontainsthreeparts.
Fast,convenientandvalidity,fastmeansthefieldairfieldmustbe
constructed
asfastaspossible,convenientmeanstheconstruction
shouldneedtheminimumequipment,laborandmaterials
consideringtheactualconstructioncondition,validitymeansthe
constructedairfieldisabletosupporttheoperationofgivenaircraft
inspecificallytime.
Justlikemanyotherterritories,thesituationoftheresearch
isthattheArmytakesadvancedline.TheArmydeclaresthatthey
canreachtoanywhereontheearthin96hours,themostimportant
methodforforceprojectionisthoughaircraft,thusrapidconstruction
