ABSTRACTObjective:Inrecentyears,theprevalenceofdiabeticnephropathy(DN)hasincreasedsignificantly.Anincreasingnumberofstudieshaveshownthatlymphocyte-associatedinflammatoryresponsesplayaroleinDN.ThisstudyaimstoinvestigatetherelationshipbetweenlymphocytesandDNinpatientswithautoimmunediabetes.

ABSTRACT

Methods:Theclinicaldataof226patientswithType1diabetes(T1D)and79patientswithlatentautoimmunediabetesinadults(LADA)wereretrospectivelystudiedandstratifiedaccordingtotheurinaryalbumintocreatinineratio(ACR).RiskfactorsassociatedwithDNwereanalyzedusingcorrelationanalysisandlogisticregression.

Results:InT1DandLADApatients,systolicbloodpressure(SBP),uricacidduration,anddiabetesdurationinpatientswithnormoalbuminuriawerelowerorshorterthanthoseinpatientswithmacroalbuminuria(P0.05).ThelymphocytecountofT1DpatientswassignificantlyhigherthanthatinLADApatients(P0.05),whiletheneutrophiltolymphocyteratio(NLR)ofT1DpatientswassignificantlylowerthanthatinLADApatients(P0.05).ThelymphocytecountintheT1Dpatientswithnormo
