NoisePro:ActivatingandOperating

1.ToactivatetheNoiseProsimulator,dooneofthefollowing:

a.FromQuest’sdealersite,clickontheNoisePropageandselectNoiseProsimulator(locatedunderthe“Family

ofNoisePros”).

b.ActivatingviaCD:inserttheCDinyourpcandavirtuallabmenuwillappear(waitabout2-7seconds).

SelecttheNoisePro.

2.TheNoiseProsimulatorwillopeninyourInternetbrowser.Tobeginusingtheapplication,firstclickanywhereon

yourscreen(i.e.,ontheNoisePro).

3.OntheNoisePrometer,locatedonthefarrightofyourscreen,clicktheOn/Offbuttontoturnonthemeter.Pleaserefer

toFigure1.(Themenuscreenwillappear.)

4.ToRunasoundstudy,turnonthestereobypressingthePlaybutton(locatedtotherightofthestereo).Onthe

NoisePro(metertotherightofyourscreen),clickEnterkeyandclicktheRunkey.

5.ToviewdifferentmeasurementvaluesontheNoisePro,continuetopresstheEnterkeyasitpagesthroughthe

measurementscreensorpresstheright/leftorup/downarrows.

6.Ifyouwouldliketochangethesoundpressurelevel,dooneofthefollowing:

a.Adjustthevolumelevelonthestereocontrol.

b.ClickonthesmallNoiseProwiththeboommic(inthelivingroom)andpositioniteithercloseorfurther

awayfromthestereospeakers.(TheSPLwilladjust.)

7.ToPauseyourstudy,clicktheRun/Pausekey.(Note:tostopastudy,resetthemeterandthestopicon()

willappearonthebottomrightoftheNoiseProscreen.)

8.Toturnoffthemeter,pressandholdtheOn/Off/ESCkey.
