Itisalisteningclass,whichconsistsof6parts--Fivedialogues,Listentoastory,FamilyAlbumUSA走遍美国一,Talkshow,BabyshowsandEnjoyasong.Listeningmaterialisaveryimportantelement,whichaffectsstudents’listeningcomprehension.TheselisteningmaterialsIchosehaveappropriatecontentswithrightlengthandatrightdegreeofdifficulty.Besides,theyareenjoyableandlatestenoughtoarousethestudents’interestandwidentherangeoftheirEnglishknowledgewhichproducedagoodeffect.
II.Theanalysisofthestudents
ListeningisveryimportantforEnglishlearnersandanumberofactivitiesinvolvelearnersinlisteningwithaspecificpurpose,butthestudentsoftenfeelverydifficulttomasterit.Theproblemofeightypercentstudents’iscausedbythelimitationofmaterialsourceandthekind.Theyformedthehabitoflisteningtothepublishcassettes,whicharespokenatthesamespeed.Thesamecontext,thesamespokenspeedandthesameintonationhavemadethemformfixedimpressiononEnglish.Soiftheylistentonativespeechorothermaterialsofdifferentstyle,theywillbecomepuzzled.Alltheproblemsaboveexistinlisteningteachingandlearning.Soinmyopinion,thestudentsshouldbetrainedtosolvetheseproblems.
III.TeachingDesignNotes
