TheAPQPandControlPlanSecondEditionwassplitintoseparatemanuals:
•Decouplingofthetwowillfacilitatemoretimelyupdatesassystemsevolve.
•APQPandControlPlansarelinkedbyr＇吨uirementsinAPQPmuchlikeFMEA,SPC,MSAand
PPAP.Theselinkswillcontinue.
η1eremainderofthismanualwillfocusonControlPlans(CP).

•ChangestootherreferencesnecessitateupdateshereforCPtoremainrelevantSuchas,new
terminologyandconceptsconsistentwithIATF16949,AIAGVDAFMEAHandbookandother

•TheduediligenceforCPisbeingstre咿henedtoavoidpitfallsfromknownriskfactors.
•Incorporationoflessonslearnedfrompastprojectsandproblems.
•ApplicationsofCParechangingtomeetdemandsimposedbyhigherautomationandultimately
autonomousdriving,electrificationandexpandingdefinitionofmobility.
•Additionofcontentdescribingexpectationsfor“SafeLaunch”,enhancedcontrol/containment
