ThesyllabusforPaperF5,PerformanceManagement,buildsontheknowledgegainedinPaperF2,ManagementAccounting.andseektoexaminecandidates’understandingofhowtomanagetheperformanceofabusiness.ItalsopreparescandidatesformorespecialistcapabilitieswhicharecoveredinP5AdvancedPerformanceManagement.Thesyllabusbeginsbyintroducingmorespecialisedmanagementaccountingtopics.ThereissomeknowledgeassumedfromPaperF2-primarilyoverheadtreatments.Theobjectivehereistoensurecandidateshaveabroaderbackgroundinmanagementaccountingtechniques.Thesyllabusthenconsidersdecision-making.Candidatesneedtoappreciatetheproblemssurroundingscarceresource,pricingandmake-or-buydecisions,andhowthisrelatestotheassessmentofperformance.Riskand
