1、Naturaleducationaltheory
Naturaleducation’spurpose-----Cultivationofnaturalperson“EverythingisgoodasitcomesfromthehandsoftheAuthorofNature”andthatevilresultsfromtheperversionofNature.
Herehemeansbynature,notasimplesocialorder,buttheinheritedtraitsandabilitiesofthechild.Hemeansthatthechild’soriginalnatureisgoodandpure.Butsincethechildisimmatureandunabletocareforhimself,educationisnecessary.
Thetaskofeducationistopreservethechild’sgoodnessandpuritywithoutstainfromtheworldandtoprovidetheconditionsinwhichitmaygrowandmature.Thecontrastnowisbetweenthegoodindividualandevilsociety.
TheSocialContractInTheSocialContractRousseaueloquentlyexpressedhisbeliefthatmanisnaturallybornnobleandfree.Societyisartificial.Equalityandlibertyarethenaturalrightsofman.
Thesocialcontractwouldbeonethatwouldpreservethenaturalrightstolife,liberty,andthepursuitofhappiness.Asocietyhastherighttooverthrowanyleader,government,orexternalpowerthatviolatesthisdemocraticcovenant.
TheEmileEmiledidforeducationwhatTheSocialContractdidforpolities.ThefirstwordsinEmileareasfollows:“Godmakesallthingsgood;manmeddleswiththemandtheybecomeevil.”AccordingtoRousseau,onlybylivingclosetonaturecanone’snaturalgoodnessproperlyunfoldanddevelop.
