Just9%ofglobalplasticwasteisrecycled.Plasticstrawsarebynomeansthebiggestsource(来源)ofplasticpollution,buttheyverecentlycomeunderfirebecausemostpeopledontneedthemtodrinkwithand,becauseoftheirsmallsizeandweight,theycannotberecycled.EverystrawthatspartofVonWongsartworklikelycamefromadrinkthatsomeoneusedforonlyafewminutes.Oncethedrinkisgone,thestrawwilltakecenturiestodisappear.
