Purpose

Toensurethatforeachproposalwemakeadeliberatedecisionwhetheritissuitabletosubmittotheclient,havingtakenallthekeyfactorsintoaccount(i.e.thoseconsideredintheProjectRiskAssessment).

ThekeymeasureofthesuitabilityoftheproposaliswhetheritcanbedevelopedintoaTermsofEngagement(ToE)thatcanbesuccessfullydeliveredtotheclient.Ifitcannot,thentheproposalshouldbere-written.

Wealsoneedtoensurethatourdecisiononwhethertosubmitaproposal,andwhy,isrecordedforfuturereference.

Timing

Beforesubmittingaproposaltoaclient.Onceaproposalissubmitted,itisdifficulttowithdraw–thereforewemustgetitrightfirsttime.

Notesforcompletion

Thisprocedureshouldbecompletedthroughdiscussionbetweentheteamleader(wholedtheproductionoftheproposal),theRAManagerandaRestructuringAdviser.

YouhavealreadycompletedaProjectRiskAssessmentquestionnaire.Thisshouldbeusedtohelpyoudevelopasuitableproposal–onethatmanagesanyrisksthatyouhaveidentified.

OncetheRAManagerandaRestructuringAdviseraresatisfiedthattheproposalissuitabletheywillauthorisethedecisiontosubmittotheclient.
