“Parentsandcarersofchildrenwithadisabilityoftenhavetodealwithstressfulanddifficultsituations,”shesays.“Theyseldomhavetheopportunitytotakeabreakfromthedailypressuresofeverydaylife.”

“Thisworkshopwasdesignedtogivethemsomewell-earnedrespite(短暂的休息)inasupportiveandstress-freeenvironment.

“Wealsoaimedtogivethemanopportunitytonetworkandlearnnewwaystokeeptheirownphysicalandemotionalhealth,aswellasthatoftheirpartnersandchildren.”

Theactivity-filledweekendincludedicebreakeractivities,artandcraftperiods,massages,andapopularparent-to-parentworkshop.

Theworkshopandopendiscussionperiodsprovidedparentswithasupportiveenvironmentwheretheycouldtalkaboutthehighsandlowstheyexperienceasparentsofchildrenwithadisability.
