Intheseedlingsofspringcropvegetables,thelowsoiltemperatureoftencausedunevenemergenceandpoorgrowthofseedlings.Inplaceswhereelectricityisavailable,theconstructionofelectrichotbedswillensuretherequiredsoiltemperatureforseedlings.Today,letslearnhowtomakeanelectrichotbed.

1.SiteSelectionElectrichotbedsshouldbeinstalledinprotectivefacilitiessuchasgreenhouses,smallarches,andsolargreenhouses.

2.PowerSelectionCommonheatingwirepowerratingsare600watts,800watts,and1,000watts,andlengthsare80-120meters.Thecommonrequiredpowerdensitypersquaremeteris80-120watts/meter2.

3.ElectricHotbedAreaCalculatetheareaoftheelectrichotbedbasedonthepowerofelectricheatingwireandtheselectednurserypowerdensity.Theelectrichotbedareacanbedecidedbythefollowingequation：Theelectrichotbedarea=thepowerofelectricheatingwire/theselectednurserypowerdensity.
