Unit10;Memory

ByBarbraStreisand;;;“记忆”(Memory)选自音乐剧《猫》，是剧中最著名最广为流传的一曲。这一曲的主角为Grizabella,魅美的猫，她在“记忆”里表白了她在外面世界所受的痛苦，她所永远失去的快乐和美丽的日子，以及她归家的渴望。

《猫》是英国作曲家安德烈·洛伊·韦伯（AndrewLloydWebber）根据Ｔ·Ｓ·艾略特（T.S.Eliot）的诗集《老负鼠讲讲世上的猫》（OldPussom‘sBookofPracticalCats）谱曲的音乐歌舞剧。(这一部诗集，事实上是艾略特写给他的教子的。)自从在1981年伦敦首场演出之后，已经成为迄今以来最著名的歌舞剧之一。
