AReadanotherstoryfromTheAdventuresofTomSawyerandanswerthequestionsbelow.TomandBeckyinthecaveTomandBeckywalkedintothecave.Theyheldtheircandleshighandsawnamesanddateswhichwerewrittenonthewallsbyotherpeople.Suddenlytheywereinapartofthecavewithoutanywritingonthewalls.Theyusedcandlesmoketowritetheirownnamesontherockandthenwalkedon.Soontheycametoalittlestreamofwater.Thecavewalllookedlikeafrozenwaterfall.Tomwentbehindthestonewaterfallandfoundanopeningintherock.Theystartedtowalkdownintotheearth.Theywentdeeperanddeeperintothecave.TomandBeckymademanycandlesmokemarksonthewallstoshowthewayback.Itwasexciting.

Theysoonfoundthemselvesinahugeopenspacethatwasfullofbats.Therewerethousandsofthem.Thelightfromtheircandleswokeupthebats,andtheyflewatthecandleflames.Tomknewthiswasdangerous,sohetookBecky’shandtohurryheraway,butoneofthebatsfollowedandputoutBecky’s
