Abstract

Thebasicconceptsoftheparkingreservationsystemandparkingrevenuemanagementsystemarediscussedinthispaper.Theproposedintelligentparkingspaceinventorycontrolsystemthatisbasedonacombinationoffuzzylogicandintegerprogrammingtechniquesmakes“online”decisionswhethertoacceptorrejectanewdriversrequestforparking.Inthefirststepoftheproposedmodel,thebestparkingstrategiesaredevelopedformanydifferentpatternsofvehiclearrivals.Theseparkingstrategicsarcdevelopedusingintegerprogrammingapproach.Inthewsecondstep,learn-ingfromthebeststrategies,specificrulesaredefined.Theuniquenessoftheproposedapproachisthattherulesarederivedfromthesetofchosenexamplesassumingthatthefuturetrafficarrivalpatternsareknown.

Theresultswerefoundtobeclosetothebestsolutionassumingthatthefuturearrivalpatternisknown.
