Abstract

Thispapercomparestwowidelyusedmethodsforsurvey-methods,withthehouseholdsurveyapproachreporting

inginformalenterprises:householdsurveys,whichcollectasignificantlyhighercount.Thepaperexplorespoten-

dataonenterprisesthroughhouseholdinterviews,andtialreasonsforthesedifferences,focusingondesignand

area-basedenterprisesurveys,whichdirectlytargetbusi-implementationfactors.Thefindingsalsosuggestthatboth

nessesinspecificgeographicareas.Byimplementingbothsurveymethodsyieldconsistentstatisticsforcharacterizing
