requiredfortheengine(requiredoutput),estimatedtorqueproducedbytheengine(estimatedtorque),

engineRPMofcontroltarget(targetRPM),whethertheengineisinstartmodeornot.Then,basedonthe

requiredoutputandtargetRPM,theECM(includedinhybridvehiclecontrolECU)calculatesatarget

torquethatistobeproducedbytheengineandcomparesitwiththeestimatedtorque.IftheestimatedES

torqueisverylowcomparedwiththetargettorque,ortheenginestartmodecontinuesforthespecific

durationcalculatedbywatertemperature,anabnormalconditionisdetected.
