Resistor

Aresistorisatwo-terminalelectroniccomponentthatopposesanelectriccurrentbyproducingavoltagedropbetweenitsterminalsinproportiontothecurrent,thatis,inaccordancewithOhm’slaw:V=IR.TheelectricalresistanceRisequaltothevoltagedropVacrosstheresistordividedbythecurrentIthroughtheresistor.Resistorsareusedaspartofelectricalnetworksandelectroniccircuits.
