subjectisasummaryofthevariousincarnationsofthemakeovergenreaspopularentertainment,

incorporatingelementsfromanynumberofsuchshows,fromWhatNottoWeartoDivine

Design.Moreover,QueerEyehasattemptedtoretainitspopularitybylivinguptoitsown

premisesothattheshowitselfisalwaysintheprocessofbeingmadeover,elaboratingvariations

ofitsbasicformatinholidayspecialsandgroupsofthemedshowssuchastheseriesofepisodes

entitledQueerEyefortheBritishGuy,inwhichtheFabFive,astheyareknown,tooktheir

talentsoverseastoLondoninasortofmetroualversionoftheMarshalln.Not

surprisingly,then,QueerEyehasspawnedanumberofimitations,includingaBritishversion

withadifferentcast(QueerEyefortheStraightGuy--UK)andashort-livedspin-offseries,

QueerEyeFortheStraightGirl,inwhichthreesubstantiallymoreannoyingmenandone

underutilizedbiantriedtogiveaheteroualwomaninnerstrength,confidence,andater

understandingoftheimportanceofeyeliner.
