Thequaysidecontainercraneisthespecialcraneforloadingandunloadingcontainersinacontainerterminal.1Nowadaysitisthemainequipmentforhandlingthecontainerineachcontainerterminal.Quaysidecontainercranemainlyusescontainerspreadertoloadorunloadthecontainer.Inordertoadapttoloadingandunloadingtheheavycargoinsomecontainers,somequaysidecontainercranesareequippedwithheavycargohook.Moreoversomequaysidecontainercraneshaveboththefunctionofcontainerhandingandgrabbuckethandling.Itsstructuredependsontheoperationcharacteristicandfunction.Generallyspeaking,thousandsofquaysidecontainercranesintheworldhavedifferentformsbecauseoftheirdifferentsuppliers.ThecommonquaysidecontainercraneisshowninFigure6-1.
