Communicationserviceproviders(CSPs)areuniquelypositionedtocapturetheopportunitiespresentedbytheCoordinationAge:thecurrentsocio-economiceradefinedbytheneedforenhancedconnectivity,resourceoptimisationandseamlesscollaborationamongpeople,machinesandsystems.Tocapitaliseonthisopportunity,CSPsmustundergoafar-reachingtransformation.ThistransformationwillvaryforeachCSP,shapedbytheirindividualambitions,marketdynamicsandinternalcapabilities;butallwillrequireadoptingcloud-nativearchitecturesandoperatingmodelsasfoundationalelements.

Cloud-nativetechnologiesarecriticalnotonlyfordrivingoperationalefficiencybutalsoforenablingthedevelopmentanddeliveryoftheinnovativeproductsandservicesdemandedbyconsumers,enterprisesandpublicsectorcustomerstoday.Theseofferingsmustbedesignedanddeliveredinfundamentallydifferentwaysthantraditionaltelecomproducts,leveragingmodernmethodologiessuchasDevOps,CI/CDandautomation–allunderpinnedbystrongsecuritypractices.
