Abstract:Inordertooptimizetheidleshakeissueforadieselengineinnon-misfirestate,thehalf-

orderharmonicofenginevibrationwasanalyzed.Basedonthe“source-path-response”modelandthe

“fishbonediagram”method,theengineoperationstabilityanalysisandcombustiondifferenceanalysiswere

carriedout.Therootcauseofthehalf-ordershakeissuewasthatthedifferenceintheindicatedmeaneffective

pressure(IMEP)andcombustionexcitationdifferenceforpairedcylinderwhichresultedfromtheslight

differenceinthefuelinjectionvolumeofcylindersmakethestabilityoftorqueandspeedfluctuationsslightly

worse,thusthehalf-ordershakeissueoccurred.Basedontheengineeringpractice,abalancedcontrolmethod

forfuelinjectionwasadopted.Thismethodcanbalancethedifferencesincombustionexc
