whytheydosomanyevilthings,thehorsesjustcan’tunderstand.Ofcourse,

forthosecivilhorseswhodothingsinamannerofjusticeandlaw,how

cantheyunderstandtheseindecentdeeds.Thesharpcontrastbetween

horsesandyahoosstronglysatirizesthedegeneratesocietyinEngland

atthattime,wheretherewasnojusticeandequalityatall.Moneywas

theonlythingthosepeoplechasedthroughouttheirlife.

Thentheauthortalksaboutthemoney,thelustandtheexploitation.By

usinghyperbolethat“Thiswholeglobeofearthmustbeatleastthree

timesgonearound,beforeoneofourbetterfemaleYahooscouldgether

breakfast,oracuptoputitin”tosatiretheluxuriousrichpeople’

sruthlepersecutiononthepoor.HereSwiftmakesalonglistof

crimes—suchasbegging,robbing,stealing,bydoingwhichpoorpeople

canseektheirlivelihood,makingthelifeoflowerclamuchmore

miserable.II.Doctors

Inthefollowingparagraphs,Swifttalksaboutdiseaseswhichhave

killedalargenumberofpeople,someevenpropagatingtolater

generations.Tocurethesediseases,amagictribeemerged.

Justastheso-calledlawyersSwiftmentionsattheverybeginning,

thedoctorsandtheir“miraculous”diagnosticsfollowstobe
