M ethods: P70 S6K e pression w as e am ined bym eans of SP mi munohistochem ical techn ique andW estern b lot test in 30 cases of parotid acinic cell carcinom a. Re su lts: W estern blot revealed that P70 S6K e pression in parotid acin ic cell carcinom a was 58% h igher than that in normal parotid tissue. Immunohistochem ical assay show ed that positive e pression ratio of P70 S6K in parotid acinic cell carcinom a and in norm al parotid tissuew as 100. 0% and 33. 3% (P 0. 01) respectively. Conc lusion: H igh e press ion of P70 S6K m ay be an mi portant b iological factor of oral acin ic cell carcinom a developm en t.
