According to a recent survey,about 40 percent of the students find it difficult to communicate with their parents when they meet some touble during their growth and 30 percent even never talk to their parents. There seems to be a lack of understanding between parents and children. As children get older, they become less eager to communicate with their parents, and a so called “generation gap” is formed. The reasons why children refuse to communicate with their parents vary from person to person. Maybe parents tend to be satisfied with what they have while children are always keen on experience something new. The young are quick to adopt new fashions and ways of thinking while parents, who have a better understanding of the society, are reluctant to let them have their own way. From my point of view, parents should realize that their children do not always need so much protection. They want to stand on their own feet as indpendent young people. As for children, they should know the value of their parents’ love and experience. Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, Today I am glad to be here to share my views with you on which is more important, money or health. Money is considered by some people as the most important thing in life. They think if they have a lot of money, they can make themselves very comfortable by having a fine house to live in, beautiful clothes to wear and delicious food to eat. However, I stand on a very different ground. To human beings, health is probably the most precious thing and it cannot be bought with money. As water is to fish, so health is to man. To a person who suffers from a deadly disease, while money can afford him the best hospital and medicine, it can do little to save his life. Keeping healthy means a promising future. In a word, money can buy a lot of things, but it can’t buy everything. No matter how much wealth you have acumulated, it is stilll not enough to make you a happy person if you are in a poor health.
