Self-paced Learning (2) Self-paced Approach: ＊ The instructor ? A guide and facilitator of learning ＊The Learner ? Free to make many of the decisions about when, where, what and how quickly to learn Group-based Approach: ＊ The instructor ? Presenting the information to the average learner ＊ The more capable learners ? May become bored or frustrated ＊ The less capable learners ? May feel lost or overwhelmed English Study Groups (1) Who: - 任何對英語自學的興趣與毅力 能維持10 weeks 的人； - 每3-4人即可成一小組 Why: It works!! When: 小組成員皆合適的時間 每週1~2小時 Where: 任何可以輕鬆進行英語小組討論 的地方；有電腦設備者尤佳。 English Study Groups (2) How (1) 各小組自訂自學主題，並自行設計syllabus、 安排小組自學內容及meeting時間。 (2) 小組meeting 10次(每次至少一小時) 。 (3) 各成員? 小組meeting 前至少自學一小時 ? 有備而來。 (4) 每週撰寫 Weekly Report。 (5) 三次Checks，以利了解各組自學進度。 (6) 成果驗收: English presentations。 English Study Groups (3) Coordinator-of-the-week Each group member Secretary-of-the-week Coordinator-of-the-week Greeting Introduction a.
