R. China) Abstract : J ustice is not only an important issue in ethics but in reality as well. It is difficult to achieve justice in ev eryday life especially when it is concerned with economic distribution. However , justice should be achieved simply because this is what all of us desire for. The ethical dilemma of distributive justice , which was discussed by Aristo tle in the West , has always been puzzling ethical theorists , who have tried every means to solve this problem. John Rawles , a distinguished ethicist , has contributed a lot to the resolution of this issue. However , this is still a prob lem puzzling Chinese people.
