It is my great honor to have an opportunity to talk about some of my teaching ideas. My topic is Word power taken from Unit 1, Advertisements. My teaching plan will include four parts. They are my understanding of this lesson, my teaching theories ,methods and aids, teaching steps and blackboard design. Part 1 My understanding of this lesson: The analysis of the teaching material: This is the third period of this unit. The topic of this unit is Advertisements. Word power gives a chance for students to get an better idea about using suffixes as well as some words about sales and marketing. In this period, students will learn to create adjectives by adding suffixes to nouns or verbs. The topic is important to students’ life so it is easy to stimulate their interest in learning. Teaching aims: Knowledge aim:Help students to learn some new words with suffixes and words about sales and marketing in this lesson Ability aim: Help students to learn to create adjectives by adding suffixes to nouns or verbs. Emotional aim:Make students interested in learning English Teaching important and difficult points: It is important for students to learn to create adjectives by adding suffixes to nouns or verbs and learn some words about sales and marketing in this lesson. It is difficult for students to use such adjectives in daily life easily Something about the students : The students have known some such adjectives and some words about sales and marketing but they do not often use them Part 2 My teaching theories, methods and aids. I will make students the real masters in class while the teacher acts as director . I will take the student-centered teaching method and task-basked teaching method I will use a projector , a type recorder ,multimedia and the blackboard as teaching aids in my class.
