The Comparison and Research of the Financial Centre Localization and Prospects for Development between Hong Kong and Shanghai 3 [Abstract] This dissertation utilizes the theory of finance agglomeration, the theory of scale economies and the theory of geographical economics. According to these principles, this paper tried to outline the basic condition, which results to the formation of the financial centers. In this dissertation, three most representative financial centres are choosed to carry on the analysisLondon, New York and Tokyo. Undergoing from their historically developing advancement to their present situation, the paper try to obtain some valuable inspirations and experiences for the construction of financial center of China. As the two major are l Beijing, Shenzhen and Guangzhouinvolved superior financial environments. Ultimately, a clear conclusion comes out from the analysis, that is, Shanghai and Hong Kong should follow the unceasingly changing of the international environment, believe in competing, mutually cooperating and communally developing to pursues the final win-win result.
