Abstract
Sorrowful feeling and bitter mood is the most
important style of the tragic expression of Chinese
traditional opera,but there is a trend that creat the tragic
circumstance become more and more distinct in the course
of the literatization.The development and evolution signifies
the extent to which the tragic conscionsness has matured in
traditional opera literature.
Happy ending is the main plot pattern of traditional
opera ,which as a sign that the tragic conscioness is very
weak in Chinese culture.In fa ct,between the late Ming
Dynasty and the early Qing Dyna sty ,the style of traditional
opera come forth to tragedy_oriented,pessimism become the
main aestheticstyle.
There are greatly difference in words type ,structural
pattern and exchan geable stystem between Chinese
traditional opera and Western drama,that affects the
aesthetic style of traditional tragic opera .
Tragedy idea of Chinese traditional opera has gone
through three development pha ses.Theory of Yuanpu and
bitter mood is the foundati on. Zhuo Ren-yue and Jin
Sheng-tan’pessimic aesthetic taste replenished important
essential factors .Wang Guo-wei’tragedy thoughts did
have things in common with the tragedy literary ideas
between the late Ming Dy nasty and the early Qing
Dynasty,his thoughts signfise the perfection of traditional
tragedy idea.
