This paper focuses on the negative effect of ansiety and suggests some availabf methods for teachers to adopt ifl [heir EFL listening teaching activities in order to reduce the negative effect of anxiety on listening comprehension. Many English learners have experienced the anxiety that they Tends to miss much part of a taped material when, they fail to recognize a word or phrase and stop to chink about i【. This suggests that students cant expect to grasp every detail of the tape on first hearing. Such esptcration can on]y increase their anxiety.
