本课以“rules and suggestions”为话题,以 “Mr. Jackson告诉人们爬长城时应该注意的一些事项为主题,通过听、读、说训练,要求学生重点掌握规则和建议的表达方法。通过本课的学习,学生将重点掌握情态动词的用法,并能运用所学知识说一些应注意的规则和提一些建议。1. 课前朗读 自学并熟读本课的词汇。

二听 判断正误
1、Betty is not bringing a picnic.
2、Betty will be climbing huge mountains.

对话处理
1、读前听。多媒体展示教材4 Choose the best answer. Get students to read them first and then play the recording. Ss listen with their books closed and finish the part.
2、听后读
Read the conversation by themselves and finish part 5 and part 6. They can check the answers in groups

自主学习 Read the conversation carefully,circle the key words and phrases and underline the parts you do not understand.

(1) cross 与 across(穿过) 的区别
cross = 动词 + across
across 与through的区别
across 表示从物体的表面横穿过去
through是指从物体的内部穿过

(3) keep to sth. 沿着……走,不偏离,留在某个位置
