Coordination and optimization of the supply chain under tradi tional mode w ere studied. As an example, a surplus subsidy contract w as used to discuss cont ract design and its ap plication of supply chain. Based on these, influences of additional production opport unity in the selling season and an advance order tactic on the supply chain membersdecisions were studied in detail. Basic principles for supply chain performance optimization w ere proved. Then the solution set s w ere searched, under which all supply chain members gained Pareto improvements. T he influences of unit produce cost in the selling season and unit advance order w hole sale price on the performance of the supply chain were further discussed.
