The reflection peaks of XRD p attern confirmed t he t rioct ahedral layer st ruct ure of t he p roduct . TEM result s were in good agreement wit h t hat of saponite synt hesized hydrot hermally at higher reaction tempera t ures. Accor ding to t he determinations of t he p roduct s synt hesized under different reaction temper ( ) at ures 423 K , 473 K , 523 K , 573 K , 473 K was found to be a temperat ure t hreshold wit hin short reaction time in t he synt hesis of sapontie having high long range or der . A s to t he adsorption of or ganic cationic dye (MB) , t he cap abilit y of saponites wit h different layer charges exhibited similar cap ability .
