BLCU Pathway to Macquarie University’s Bachelor of Arts (Chinese-English Translation and Interpreting) From semester 2, 2012, under an academic articulation agreement between the two universities, pre- approved credit for previous studies is available for Beijing Language and Cultural University (BLCU) students who have completed 1.5 years of their Bachelor of Arts (major in English or other approved majors), and have achieved at least 75% average grade for the following subjects at BLCU: Intensive Reading I, II and III Extensive Reading I, II and III Listening I, II and III Spoken English I and II Introduction to English-Speaking Countries I and II English Pronunciation English Grammar Audio and Visual Cross-Cultural Communication Speech and Debate I Writing I Selected Readings in British and American Newspapers Selected Readings in British and American Poetry How much credit for previous studies am I eligible for? Eligible BLCU students will be given credits equivalent to one year’s study towards the Bachelor of Arts (Chinese-English Translation and Interpreting) at Macquarie University, and will enjoy a special tuition scholarship equivalent to 20% of the program fee. How to apply? Applications from BLCU should submit their applications to Macquarie International via the College of Foreign Languages of BLCU. The application deadline is usually end of December each year. Session (Semester) 1 starts on late February of each year. Please note that this program is only available for Session (Semester) 1 intake at the moment.
