Results suggest that the model not only simulates the special land surface processes including seasonal dynamics of snow cover variation, soil heat and water transfer in aridPsem-i arid regions, but also describes the interaction of vegetation-atmosphere in tropical rainforest, togetherwith the exchanges between the land surface and atmosphere over the Tibetan Plateau accurately. It is concluded that CLSM can describe different physical processes accurately and exhibit it. s comprehensive capability to represent processes related to various land surfaces.
