This chart has shown that the number of people who were injured in a traffic accident is on the sharp increase. So is the number of people who died. The chart has greatly shocked me, for the safety of the traffic is of vital importance to every citizen. Only by our common efforts can this serious problem be solved. Firstly, because many traffic accidents were caused by drunken driving and the neglecting of traffic rules, all of us should pay great attention to the traffic rules. In addition, those who neglect the traffic rules should be severely punished. Secondly, more policemen and volunteers are needed to command the traffic. Last but not least, the road condition should be improved so that the accidents caused by the poor road condition can be avoided. To conclude, the serious problem of the traffic must be solved, which involves every citizen’s contribution. From the table, we can see that there was a steep increase in the number of people who were injured in the traffic accidents since last year, which amounted to 4500 in December.
