Abstract: T his paper presents finite element ( FE) model st udy on reinforcin in t hrou h thickness direction of
composite Tjoint w ith zpin based experiment of zpin brid in law . Function of zpin contain tw o aspects, i. e.
zdirection and x direction resistance of composite delamination. In the model, z direction and x direction
resistance based zpin are modeled by zdirection and x direct ion nonlinearsprin that link a pair nodes. So, the
curves of forcedisplacement ained by experiments of mode and mode zpin brid in laws w ere endued to all
nonlinearsprin s to simulate zpinned composit e Tjoint interlaminar performance. The effects of different zpin
spacin and span on the force of pullin off w ere examined. The results show t hat the displacement and the max imal
force of pullin out is reatly dependent on span and zpin spacin , respectively .
