In recent years, with an aging popula鄄 tion, the prevalence of hypertension had been raised. Survey of health status in 2011 organized by the ministry of health showed that Chinas urban population prevalence of hypertension was ， ， 28.9% of which the rate of population over the age of 45 was 48.1%. Awareness(52.9%) treatment (38.2%) and control rate (5.7%) is still far from ideal and still increasing every year. Therefore, prevention and treatment of hypertension has a very important meaning, by playing traditional Chinese medicine combined with modern medical treatment, combination therapy of hypertension in disease prevention, treatment and care is more effective. Advances in treatment will now be briefly reviewed.
